REFLECTION

Six Meat Lovers

We are six students from Zhongli Junior High School, including Chasel, who calls himself 175; Yu Chen, who is crazy about jumping rope; Angus, who is a picky eater; Sandy, who loves swimming; Amanda, who is a smart girl, and Caleb, who enjoys playing basketball.

After reading the book “The Fate of Food”, we found lots of bad effects of eating meat and started thinking about how to achieve food sustainability.

We interviewed a biotech company and shared a new style of diet with our friends and classmates. We Hope everyone will be a one-day vegetarian in the future.

Meet The Team

Yu Chen, Hou

Hi, I'm a studious student in junior high school. I’m glad that I can join this project and know more about plant-based meat through it. Before this project, I had just heard about it from some news title, but I knew nothing
about it deeply. I learned so many things during the project: what is plant-based meat, how does it produce, and how does it affect our environment. Now I really want to share plant-based meat with my family, my friends and everyone who is interested in it.

Sandy, Liao

I am Sandy, I like to eat delicious food, especially meat. Because of this interest and I want this world become better, I joined this project about plant-based meat, which an amazing topic. We think this new kind of diet can solve environmental issues.

During these several months, we did our best to make this project, and made a website to introduce it. Through this project I got lots of knowledge of plant-based meat and I would like to share this amazing food with everyone.

Amanda, Zhang

Hi! My name is Tsai-Jie Zhang. And you can call me Amanda. My hobbies are drawing, reading and playing mobile games. This project starts with COVID-19, and some of our projects have been changed because of it. But we also learn the way to emergency response and collaborate with each other on the Internet. This competition lets me learn a lot of new things. It's also a place where I can improve the skills I already have. I'm appreciate to join this project, and hopefully we can get a good score!

Chasel, Fan

Hi, I'm Chasel. I'm from Zhongli junior high school. I am glad to participate in this project. I got a lot of satisfaction from doing so many things. It was an special experience for me! And through the making, I have learnt a great deal of things including how to describe my thoughts, and how to arrange my leisure time. Angus, Pan

Hi! My name is Angus. I was born on April 4, 2008. I’m 13 years old. I am an energetic boy. There are 4 people in my family, including my father, my mother, my sister, and me. We all love to eat meat, however, meat especially beef is unhealthy. Because of this reason, I tend to eat vegetarian food in recent years.

Caleb, Chen

Hi! My name is Caleb. I am 14 years old. I am an active boy. I like to play basketball. Although I'm not a vegetarian, but I think the topic of plant-based meat is very interesting to me. I enjoy this topic very much. I am glad to share my knowledge with you.
